Fall 2021!!

First Thursday Night Fellowship (TNF)!

Let The School Year Begin!

Okay! A lot has happened over this past month, and to me, it felt like riding a fast roller coaster. Our staff met together for an all-staff retreat to rejuvenate, grow and rest with God, and fellowship with cross-campus staff. SICM happened just two days after staff retreat, and let me tell you; this campsite was beautiful (see the picture below)!!

At SICM, we went to Camp Eagle down in Rocksprings, TX, where we spent a reasonable amount of time learning from our campus directors about evangelism, leading a Bible study, and building Jesus center friendships. We had activities to choose from during our free time, like swimming or jumping on the blob (water trampoline) in the river, kayaking, hiking around the camp, and zip lining across the campsite. Our students left SICM feeling challenged, encouraged, and excited to be back on their campuses to do ministry. Tom Grant, a student at Collin this year, shared his takeaways from SICM. "Oh dude it was awesome. SICM was an incredible experience for me. In addition to having tons of fun and hanging out with friends, I learned so much in and out of the meeting times. It deepened my understanding of campus ministry, encouraged me to seek out deep and meaningful relationships and taught me how to be more comfortable interacting with strangers. I made many new friends, and the week did a great job preparing me for on-canpus ministry, social events and everything else".

Welcome week came two weeks after we came back from SICM. My co-workers and I worked tirelessly preparing and shopping for outreach supplies to make welcome week successful for the new students we meet on campus. If you look at the first picture at the top from TNF, this was the outcome from welcome week at Collin. That's incredible! God is still working on our campuses, and COVID-19 will not stop God's faithful promise.

Please be praying for our ministry at Collin to continue finding more students looking for friendship and would love to learn about God's word. If you know anyone who is attending Collin College and is searching for a community, would you please let me know or pass my number to them to reach out to that student? Here's mu number how they can reach me (972) 800-9093.

For the rest of this blog, please enjoy this photo dump of what God has blessed us and witness the investment you've given. Thank you again for supporting me and investing in college ministry!

WELCOME WEEK!

Taco Bell hangout after welcome week at Preston Ridge Campus!

We had students who were interested in getting temporary tattoos. Some got dinosaurs and space ships.

Lots of new students saw us play volleyball out in the courtyard and asked to join us. Over 50 students were walking to class and were amazed seeing students having fun at Collin College.

On the last day of welcome week, we hosted a volleyball event for all the campuses at the student housing next to campus. SO MANY came to our event and are a part of our ministry! The Lord is so good!

Thank you for your support!

Thank you so much to my ministry partners for your generous monetary gifts. Your support for me and God's mission here on these college campuses have blessed me beyond just what I get to do as a job.
